The Sekyere Central District Directorate of Education organized Cultural Competition for the 3 Senior High Schools (SHS) on Drama, Choral Music, Ampe, Drumming and Dance, Interpretation of music notes, and Poetry at Beposo community park.
Culture in simple terms is the way of life of a group of people. The National Cultural Competition is organized annually to help our young ones or students learn the beautiful culture of the people of Ghana and also as a way of helping to preserve and promote Ghana’s rich Cultural heritage. The Chairman of the event, Mr Kodua Amidu in his closing remarks commended the culture coordinator, DEO and the SHS Teachers of the various schools for helping the students to exhibit their talents and also asked for more in terms of other co-curricular activities.
The participating schools were the Ghana Muslim Mission SHS and Kwamang Presby SHS/ TECH. Nsutaman Catholic SHS could not participate due to the short notice of the invitation letter I guess.
The Judges were DEO Culture coordinator, Mr Kamil and one Master from Kwamng Presby SHS .
